Mrs. Renfroe and I are so excited to work with you and your children this school year! We have a wonderful team in third grade and this year has some fantastic things in store! Third grade is also departmentalized, as Mrs. Renfroe will be teaching language arts and social studies, and I will be teaching math and science. The other team consists of Ms. Grimm, Ms. Petitt, and Ms. Wood.

I have loved my last 2 years at Kolter Elementary and it just keeps getting better. I can't wait to work with you and your child this year at Kolter North as we are stronger and better than ever!

Last year was a turning point for us as a community, as we endured Harvey and got to see the lowest of lows for families and the highest of highs in the end. It is unbelievable what we, as a Kolter family, did in the rebuilding of homes and a new "home" in our campus, and through the trials and tribulations that came in its affects.

I am so proud to be a part of this Kolter family - there is truly nothing like it. I know that as we turn the corner, a year post-Harvey, we are already seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
