Rules and Expectations

My goal for room T-7 at Kolter is to create a warm and welcoming environment for our creative and curious learners. I hope that by providing a culture that supports each individual, while fostering strong relationships, students will learn from myself, their peers, and even surprise themselves. By touching on multiple intelligences and higher order levels of thinking, my teaching philosophy is to cater to each one of my students' learning styles and to push them to become critical thinkers, every day. However, I know I cannot do this alone. This is why instilling a structured environment is also vital to our class.

Students in my classroom understand that I have high expectations for them and that I will uphold them to the Fantastic 4 Values that most have grown up with and that new students quickly learn about and adhere to. I will also be introducing them to some of Ron Clark's "Essential 55." To find a list of these 55 rules, click here.

Your students and I have discussed the appropriate behaviors during lessons, while they are at work, in the hallways of the school, along with the correct procedures in how we get to and from classes.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please let me know. It is my goal to have a clear and open channel of communication with you all, as we are all strong influences in their lives.
